as it ses in the title. I have tested low,medium and high and all of them have effects in game but ultra dose not take effect in game at all. i tryd going into the skyrimpref.ini and puting ''ishadowmapresoultion=4096..it dose not work the game just wont load any shadows at all with that number....i dont no why.can anyone help?

Ultra shadows are messed up. Either use High and leave it alone, or tweak them in the INI.

Note, your CPU better be up the task. Shadows are rendered in the CPU in this game and the more you ask of the shadows, the more performance you svck from the game. There are some shadow mods at the Nexus for lower end machines that look better if the above tweaks bring you to a crawl.
