Umm, damage on Dragon weapons?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 10:20 pm

So! I litterally just saw a post about Dragonbone weapons being OP and I just kind of wanted to mention that after upgrading my Dragonbone daggers and sword using the exact same gear and boosts that the dagger only does what.. nine damage less than the sword? Where as the gap between daedric is far greater.

Like.. obviously The Sword is still better because of armour enchantments and all but.. who decided daggers were going to be nearly equal with the sword?

I think the improvement system in the game totally ruined everything, you can upgrade any armor over the armor cap and make weapons kill dragons in 1 hit, they seriously never should of done it, or at least never had enchantments or potions for it, they should of just stuck with base enchanting and capped the smithing skill at 100.

My Dragonbone Sword does 230 damage (not enchanted). That's good enough.

I also don't get why so many people complain that this and that is over powered. Really? It's not a multiplayer game and it doesn't really matter. If you think something is "over powered", don't use it or smith it that high.

No, I have the Daedric smithing perk and at level 54 I can make a bow that does 44 damage, I put on 4 pieces of apparel with the 25% better improving and the damage goes to 85. I don't think that is too OP. It's when alchemy gets involved it gets OP.
In total my bow does 105 + 10 damage because of steel arrows. My sword only does 60 damage, any higher and it takes the fun out of a sword and board fight, IMO.

You really got mental issue's if you still complain about enchanting/smithing/alchemy loop being op. It's supposed to be OP if you use that loop.
Never ever did I create a OP Weapon even when on my ''do it all /care'' character who had smithing/alchemy/enchanting at 100.

How did it ruin anything? Do you have zero self control and always do the alchemy/enchanting loop to get ridiculously smithed weapons and gear? Or does it take away from your fun that some dude you will never meet or speak to might do it in his/her single player game?

IMO the only thing that can potentially ruin the game is bugs/glitches that make certain aspects of the game unplayable.

I just smith my dragonbone sword without any enchantments(for smithing) and potions. My damage is 109.

It was probably my thread,I ain't complaining, especially when you take on solitude. It would only be bad,as somebody said,if it was a MP game buts it's not.
