Unable to find Dawnguard scripts?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 10:00 pm

Ok, I've been trying to fool around with dawnguard in the CK today, and have been hitting a brick wall over and over. First were errors where the Dawnguard.bsa wasn't included in the skyrimeditor.ini. I got that fixed.

Now, though, trying to open up a script results in an error saying windows can't find whatever script I'm looking for. It's only the Dawnguard scripts that this is happening on. How do I fix this?

I heard an update fixed this, but even though I THINK I'm updated(verson 1.6.89.0; I honestly can't find a change log or version history of it online for the life of me) it's not working. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the kit(by clicking "Delete Local Files" then going into properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Tool Cache; incidentally, under "Updates" steam is set to update it automatically), but no luck aside from having to re-fix the stupid skyrimeditor.ini.

Any help?

If I remember correctly, Dawnguard's Papyrus source files were added in a "Dawnguard" folder within your "Data/Scripts/Source" folder. Extract the contents of "Source/Dawnguard" into "Source" and you should be good to go.

It works! Thank you very much, now I can get to modding!
