When I attempt to install it I get a "RAGE cannot be installed yet, because it has not been released". I have the physical copy in my hands, there is no clause in the license agreement that says that it can't be played or run by/before/at any particular date, therefore I want the product to work. There is a very resonable expectation that if I have a physical copy of a product I can use it and it will work. Therefore I'm reporting this as a bug.

You're lucky! You're obviously in Australia too. I got my copy, put in what I thought was the key and was greeted with "Invalid Product Code - The product code you have entered is not valid"


Did your key start with STI-RAGE-EAU-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx? Mine looks like this but to me doesn't seem right for a key, more a packaging code, etc

Don't use the STI-RAGE-EAU part and it should work.

You sir are a genius.... pretty silly the way they included that as the key, it should be a separate sticker all together.... very clumsy

edit: hmm looks like I have to wait until Friday the 7th. according to Amazon RAGE will be released by then. So even If I hold the retail copy in my hands right now (strange enough considering the release date), I have to wait until Steam unlocks the game?!?

I have it preloaded on Steam for days, still can't play it but after reading the forum for 2 days I'm not sure I want to.

I don’t know why they would do it we bought the game not in steam, but a physical copy of the game.
I hope they resolve this.

FYI: RAGE is not released and/or available in other countries besides the U.S. until October 7th. At least that is what it says on the homepage.
