Unarmed/melee Slayer?

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 11:39 pm

Just wondering for my unarmed or melee build is the perk slayer with 30% speed increase is really useful? Seems like unarmed is pretty quick punching anyway. Played with melee a little and can't see 30% helping or being a must get perk.

Thinking being that if I don't get slayer I can drop AGI to 1 instead of needing 7 and then I can use those points elsewhere.

Opinions appreciated

Slayer is really nice for some of the heaviest weapons like the super sledge.

But it's not really necessary, however I would strongly suggest not lowering agility to 1.

Agility affects alot more than just what perks you can take, including movement speed and other things.

Agility does not govern movement speed.

Agility governs weapon equip time, reload speed, and weapon spread.

ah ya, dang forgot about that, so maybe if not taking slayer, drop AGI to 5, guess 6 AGI don't hurt much though. Current build spec
S - 8
P - 1
E - 9
C - 1
I - 8
A - 6
L - (IT +1 at lvl 2)

Edit: Would like to make S to 9, I to 9 and L to 9, then implate all to 10. So once my weapon is already out, does it AGI affect swing/hit speed?

+30% increased speed is still useful no matter what its still +3 hits for every 10 without.

Adding those extra 1 points in the other SPECIALs won't change much anyway, so I'll stick with my orginal build then. Thanks
