since it was never meant to come off i bet it is just a generic npc face, probably one of the presets (or super goofy, be funny if he had the massive sideburns compressed under his mask)

Probably just a normal face. He's immortal (not invincible, but unaging), so it's not like he'll look like a DP or Draugr. He'll just look like a guy.
Like the Mer. They don't start looking like an Elven Draugr when they get old, they just look the same.
