Unenchanted Apparel

Is it that difficult for them to put in non-enchanted variants of stuff? The fact that there is no unenchanted version of Vampire Lord Armor, or unenchanted versions of Novice Robes, or unenchanted versions of stuff like Thieve's Guild armor, etc.

Just, why not? It doesn't seem difficult to make two different types, it's not like the model changes. One with the enchantments, and one without. It seriously ruins my roleplay when I can't use certain pieces of armor because they simply have terrible enchantments, or the enchantment simply doesn't suit my character.

This is a roleplaying game after all, and it would greatly improve roleplaying to have little things like these, and I don't rant often like this, but this seems like the easiest thing to add into the game. Hell, there are even files for non-enchanted Novice Robes, but they aren't in the game for some reason.

Ya I was upset about the royal vampire armor being enchanted especially with a bad enchant too it. but the reg vampire armor isnt so it isnt too bad.

I've taken to using the restoration loop as a means of fixing this issue on a console. Through lots of experimentation, I've managed to craft fortify enchanting potions that yield double-strength or triple-strength enchantments (for example, a 237% potion when used with a greater soul gem seems to yield exactly 2x the enchantment strength that you get when using a store-bought 25% potion). That way, I can sort of cram all the enchantments I'd ordinarily want onto fewer pieces of gear, and just ignore the marginally useful pre-enchantments on things I want to wear just for looks.

This almost, but not quite, makes up for not having the ability to simply mod in unenchanted pieces of the armor/clothing I want to wear.

Could not agree more. Really. It wouldn't be possible. Ever cool weapon or armor in the game has some puny/daft enchantment on it. I take that back, the Ancient Nord Amulet doesn't, AND YOU STILL CANT ENCHANT IT! So, so cruel.
