Unequal,Unrealistic Combat in Skyrim - Need Help from experi

Post » Sat Aug 04, 2012 10:40 am

I would love to have a mod which would make the Combat much more realistic.

For example , even with the DUEL Combat mod i need 30 Hits from a normal Bandit until i die ,

while on the other hand a Bandit Chief with the same Weapon will kill me with three hits.

Is there a mod or could you create a mod in which the Basic Health of every NPC and the Player is the same ,

regardless of their LVL and in which the dealt DMG only comes from the DMG Value of the weapon
and the Skill of the Attacker becomes almost irrelevant ?

Specifically :
Every NPC and the player should have 100 HP.

A dagger will deal 50DMG and you need 2 Hits to kill someone who has no Armor.
But when someone has an Armor on which gives 50 Armor you need 3 Hits to kill him with the dagger.
It shouldnt matter if i attack a normal Bandit or Bandit Chief.

As long as they have the same Armour they should be killed with the same amount of hits , because they are both Human.

I hate it that , even if im totally naked with no Armor on , the Enemies need an unrealistic amount of Attacks until i die.
I want that every NPC and the Player is extremely vulnerable when they have only plain Clothes or no Clothes at all on.

So all in all i want to make the Combat in Skyrim as realistic as possible.

Please help me out . At least give me your opinion if you don′t know any mod that would bring these changes.

You must be playing some muscle bound Nord or something, nost enemies can kill my guy in 3 to 4 blows (one if the have a 2 haded weapon and do a power attack) I am level 15 wearing pretty good armor on the next to toughest diffiuclty setting...
You could try some weapon and armor balancing mod for that I guess

If you're looking for realism, then Duke Patrick's is pretty much the gold standard. If you're looking for better combat gameplay than Duel or http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5485 are the other main options.

Actually http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10037 is really good, but it makes a lot of changes to perk trees, so it might not be as simple as you'd like (though it's modular). [Removed other comments because they might be related to next item.]

EDIT: One more mod that's worth a look (great idea, but suffering an SKSE bug and temporarily broken), is http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12615. That may actually cover what you're looking for.

So, you basically want to remove every RPG aspect from the combat system?

I don't think you'll find any modder willing to go as far as you want, and some (such as myself) who are actively pushing in the opposite direction.

Yes thats it , i want to remove any trace of unrealistic RPG elements from it !
If anyone here played Mount and Blade : Warband , youll get what i mean.
I tried Deadly Combat and Locational Damage out. But none will fix the problem i mentioned.

Please if anyone got the slightest idea how to translate ,what i want , into an .ESP , please do it and release it . I would help you with all the values and so on.

I′ve tried Duke Patrick's mod out but when im naked normal enemies still need many hits to kill me.
(Im not sure if thats because i couldnt start the mod right , because i have the 1.6 Patch instead of the requiered 1.7 with its newest SKSE)

Yes, and it would be pretty easy. I think you'll just be hard-pressed to find someone else who would find it fun. Ergo, open up the CK and do it yourself :D
