Unexplained 'Assaults' in Stats (Fix)

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:12 am

As my player character likes to keep a perfect 'clean sheet' - ie, no crimes whatsoever in the stats, the constant unexplained assaults that appear have continued to annoy me since the game was released and I know it has annoyed other players as well. Now, I claim nothing more here than simply discovering a console command that I never knew existed, and I guessed that there may be several other players who also did not know of it. Here is the command:

ModPCMiscStat [Name of Stat] [Number] <-- This can be a negative value (ie, -10)

So for example, if you suddenly find you have an Assaults stat of say, 5 you would enter:

ModPCMiscStat Assaults -5

Then your stats would show Assaults at zero.

You can actually alter all your stats using this method, but obviously, this is for PC users only. Unfortunately, console players are stuck with what the game does by default.

Apologies if this command was actually more well known than I thought. I just saw a lot of posts complaining about the game's tendency to accuse you of crimes that you felt you hadn't committed.

It is nice to see this still works.
It is also nice to see someone else who enjoyed Stan and Ollie. :)

These annoy me too, but at least the game doesn't accidentally assign murders to your name anymore Oblivion did.

Hmmm... I prefer a more 'real' character... one that lends themselves to 'no one is perfect' principles.

Well, there you go. I never even knew that command was in Oblivion. It must have slipped under my radar.

Yes, unfortunately, the genius of Mr Laurel and Mr Hardy has escaped much of today's youth. Some kids haven't even heard of them.
