Old Hroldan Inn
Unique Taverns is an ongoing project to revamp all the taverns in Skyrim that are copies of each other. So far Falkwreath's Dead Man's Drink, Four Shields Tavern and Nightgate inn have been done, and now the latest tavern to be added is the Old Hroldan Inn!
This inn has had an exterior as well as interior revamp. The style is now old, medieval with dark wood, low heavy beams and narrow corridors.This inn has a full kitchen and a small basemant and a stable for your long suffering horse. There are a few secret areas to find as well.
Tiber Septim's rentable room has had a revamp and is now more suitable for such a notable person. It also has a balcony with spectacular views. The storage in this room is safe. The two bedside tables, the chest and the wardrobe.
UT only adds one extra NPC to this inn, who poses as another patron renting a room upstairs. I didn't add many NPCs because if you use LIAT (Lively Inns and Taverns) the inn becomes very full in the evenings.
I went just mad adding 'tavern' style paintings after I finally figured out how to add my own paintings. So there are lots of still life paintings that are appropriate for a tavern. So the paintings are a mixture of mine and Artisanix's excellent paintings.
This tavern was quite a challenge for me piecing figety bits together, however I feel that I have acheived the look I was going for. Not everyone will like it, that is fine. As far as I am concerned people will like some, possibly not others, but I bet most people will have one that becomes their favorite and becomes their 'local haunt'. That is the very purpose of this project, to make such unique taverns with such completely different looks and atmospheres. For me, so far my favorite is the Hanging Man Inn (aka the Old Hroldan's Inn.)
