I'll use this OP to list all locations of Volumes:

Vol 1. Next to a chest which is underneath a skeleton, northwest from the Shrine of Learning, go towards the waterfalls following the coast, until you see some quicksilver on a path to the right, go up the path and you are sure to see it.

Vol 2. Use the Emerald Paragon; which can be found on a Frost Giant. The giant can be found in the canyon leading towards Glacial Caverns, you have to go across the bridges and ledges to the top platforms, to the very top little mountain platform that is connected to by a bridge, on the other side of that platform is a Giant cave, kill the giant, take its paragon and go find the portal, which is on top of one of the waterfalls close by, opposite another Giant cave. When you go through the portal, go down the waterfall path then go right at the end by the broken pillars.

Vol 3. Is in one of the many huts on a table on the way to the Glacial Crevice, nearer the end of the valley, on top of a platform.

Vol 4. is in a hut outside on a table when you exit the Glacial Crevice on your way to the Shrine of Radiance.

Take them to Urag-gro Shub, and the quest should complete.

Where's the first? One of them is found with one of the Paragons, two more in Falmer huts that I don't know the specific location of.

I don't know where any are. I found one, but forgot the location of it. I support your quest for answers about Unlnown Books!

Vol 1 is on by a chest, underneath a skeleton, just a bit of a walk from one of the Sanctum things... ill go check what its called now.. yeah, one of them i found in a hut, and... i don't remember where i found the other one...

I found number 3 in a Falmer hut on that long series of bridges.
Number 1 was where you said, starting from fast travel point its where you come out of that ravine with spiders, a little downhill.
I havent found any other ones yet.

Just found Vol. 1 after I went through that path with Frostbite Spiders. You'll see the river in front of you and the chest is off to your right with a skeleton on top of it and by some broken pillars. That's all of them.

Volume 5 is literally the last one, anyone have any information?

Im such an idiot! When i first found one the quest didnt pop up so i found 1, 2 and 4 and tried to translate some of it quite quickly because i wanna know more about snow elves (sad I know) and by the time id begun to translate the end of book one the quest popped up and i found out the orc guy could just give me a translated copy!

Can I get a little more information on Volume II? The OP isn't very helpful to me on this one. Can you add more landmarks besides a 'Giant Cave' or the bridges as there are loads of them.

eh nevermind I found it. While it was atop a waterfall... there are only a cajillion of them.

To anyone who'd like more details; when you find the 1st book and go right, until you find the frost troll with the amethyst paragon. There will be a waterfall infront of you. At the top of this waterfall, in nearly the exact same spot is another troll in his little den. he has the Sapphire paragon. Across the stream you'll see some ruins with a dwemer looking pedestal which to place one of the paragons.

Some rather creepy and unnerving poems as well as falmer stories. Makes for an interesting read. But if you aren't a reader, they're unique in appearance and make for a good display piece.

I found them on saturday, and am I the only one who thinks the translated versions are a bit dissapointing because i was hoping for more info or that once translated they could lead onto a bigger quest any one agree?

I find the extra lore nice. I suppose the extra quests couldn't hurt, but I'm not sure what kind if quest it could lead into.

How much gold does that accumulate all together? Is it all 1000g each or does it vary?
