Unlimited Perks?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 3:57 pm

Hi guys,

New to this game series, but loving it a huge ammount. I am not looking for god mode style cheats or anything, as I intend to play this game for many months, but there was one cheat I would be interested in. That is the ability to earn more perks after i reach lvl 50. The thought over a long period of time maybe getting lots of extra perks seems like fun. Can anyone tell me if there is such a cheat, and if so how do implement it in game plz ( noob here! )

Thanks in advance!

There's a level cap? Didn't know we were playing Fallout. Be that as it may, and to take a shot at the real question, if you're on PC you can probably use the console to give yourself perks. I haven't seen a command list for Skyrim, but the two Fallout games used "player.addperk xxxxx" (where xxxxx was the numerical identifier of the perk). I haven't seen a perk list, either, but it will probably become available once the Creation Kit is released.

I believe the hard cap is 81, with a total of 86 perks. (I believe you get 4 extra perks for completing a certain quest.)

By using player.addperk XXXX you can manually add perks of your choice. At this point of time I do not know a command to add free perk point, but http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Archery provide a list of perk ID's to use.

Example: You have 50 points in archery and wish to have adequate "Overdraw" Rank (which is currently set to 0 ZERO). To set Overdraw to Rank 3, you need to obtain Rank 1 and Rank 2, the following code will do it:

Rank 1) player.addperk 000babedRank 2 player.addperk 0007934aRank 3 player.addperk 0007934b

Matter not which rank code you type first, as long as you punch all of them into console. Please note, tested only on PC version of Skyrim and for other perk codes refer to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skills

I heard this as well, but I don't know if it's true or not.

That said, you can still get each skill to 100 I believe. You just can't get more levels and thus, no more perks. Frankly, I question the cap entirely, because if someone really wants to do that I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed, but that's a minor issue compared to the vast improvements in game design made this time around.

there are 2 caps. the level 50 cap is the point at which monsters will stop levelling (50 is the cap on monsteres)

the 70/81 whatever it happens to be is the maximum you can obtain when ALL your skills are at 100/100

Maybe the cap will be raised with DLC. As it is, I think there's more than 200 perks available with the multi-tiered ones. So, there's a lot of room for expansion.

On a related note - is there a in-game way to reset your perk selections?
