Unofficial Darksiders II Discussion

Didn't see a topic on it, so I figured I'd make one.

Darksiders II follows the exploits of Death, one of the four horseman of the Apocalypse, in a weaving tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.

Wow. That's all I can say after spending several hours with Darksiders II. Having not really played the first one, I was somewhat doubtful that it would pull me in. Boy was I ever wrong. The game is basically a mix between Fable, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, The Legend of Zelda, and Prince of Persia. Gameplay is fairly standard action/adventure, with some RPG elements put in. Loot drops from enemies, as does gold. You also level up in the game, earning a new skill point to spend in two different skill trees. You can also equip different weapons, and upgrade some by "feeding" them other items.

Did anyone else pick this awesome game up today?

Have yet to try it I am curious to sed more of it before I buy it its also a game i would have to drop in price some before I get it I think new games are overpriced anyways.

I will however say that I did play the first and I was not impressed at first but after you get past the opening level the gameplay and world exploration style reminded me a lot if Zelda in its exploration and the combat did remind me a lot if fables button mashing but it all worked nicely and I was indeed surprised.
