hi,ive just been pointed to some beta update to fix my looong loading times but im a bit baffled why they are only beta updates and theres no full release updates.

are all the beta updates safe to use or not? will there ever be just an ordinary normal update.

this is the first game ive had where theres zero confidence in an update release relegating it to being a test file and i find it strange to say the least.

i dont want be a beta tester,i just want to play my game and have proper fixes as needed,like all the other games.

not a rant,i love fo4,as i loved fonv and 3,there are things that bug out but nothing has stopped my enjoyment so far.

The patch will move out of beta soon enough, if you prefer to wait. But it's perfectly safe to use the beta in the meantime.

The did the same with the previous patch. Beta for a week or two, then moved to full release once it was ready.

It's not really that strange, a lot of games have started with this now thanks to steams opt-in/opt-out feature. It theoretically allows for better patches as they can catch many issues that could crop up before it gets pushed to full release (Backwards flying dragons in Skyrim anyone?)

That's because a beta isn't a final. There's currently a public beta going to iron out potential issues that may occur with the upcoming patch. Once Bethesda feels they are ready to release the final, they will.

It's a beta. A beta is never safe, per definition.

No, it's not. A lot of developers do public beta's these days. And if they don't they do closed beta's. A beta is an essential part of a proper QA.

Then wait for the final. It's not going to be long now.
