You can definitely hear a smidge of TES in the teaser trailer.

Sounds cool.

Will there be a familiar composer coming back to work on certain themes?
MF: Uh… we're still working on that.

A simple Yes and No answer and they are saying "We're still working on that???"
They had BETTER get Jeremy Soule back for this man, seriously wtf.
He should be the FIRST PERSON they should approach in doing music for this game seriously.

and what a poor interview. it's literally nothing but five print questions, one of which he didn't even directly address.

not a very exciting article but i like every little bit of info. sounds like standard approach to music. if it's not broken don't fix it i suppose.

The Daoc ambient music was much better than the horrid music they had in the game originally, but it was still really annoying after a short time. The only ambient music I've ever actually enjoyed and left on full time was the Skyrim music, because it blended the ambiance perfectly with the scored tracks. If you can't get time on Jeremy Soule's schedule grab I'd love to hear more ES music by Eric Heberling. Actually, even if they could get Jeremy Soule to do some of the music I'd love to hear more from Eric Heberling. The Daggerfall music still sticks with me all these years later.

If I'm not exactly looking forward to what the game seems to be, I'd like to at least be able to look forward to the soundtrack.

May be difficult to get Jeremy depending on how long he will spend on Guild Wars 2. AFAIK he worked on every single installment of the original Guild Wars, and his Guild Wars 2 work is currently at 85+ tracks, possibly growing still.
