Gonna need some advice about upgrading our old desktop to run better. We are only going to upgrade the desktop, so no new monitor, printer, mouse, etc... Just the desktop's parts.

Only thing we wont bother is the Hard Drive and OS. But what we do want are more RAM, better cards, etc... And we kinda want to know what would be the ball-park-price for the parts so we would know if buying a new desktop would be cheaper or not.

Stuff like 4GB RAM, 2.4 GHz duel/quad core, and so on...

Any help would be nice.

Well we need to know your current specs to get anywhere.

It's a Dell Computer from 2004. I know it is a Single Core most likely, 512MB of RAM, and bunch of other crappy old crap.
