Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:07 am

Hello all,

I usually wear the Royal Vampire Armor but i only have it at flawless. I have 100 blacksmithing but i went up the right side of the perk tree, Do i have to have the left side complete as well to be able to make this legendary like my dragonscale armor?

Thanks

The advanced armor perk affects the vampire royal armor as well as a few other misc armors.

You may need to use fortify smithing potions and armor with the echantment. You can't get some things to legendary without them even at level 100.

No, Advanced Armors is on the left hand side of the tree, I believe the second one after steel that allows you to create / augment Scaled and Steel Plate armors.

You should be able to get it to Legendary if you have 100 Smithing. Did you have enough Leather in your inventory? There are a couple of Vampire clothing items that cannot be improved, including the Vampire Lord Armor.
If you have trouble, try using a Fortify Smithing potion, and wearing some Fortify Smithing gear. If you don't have the required perk, you should still be able to get it to Legendary if you can Fortify your Smithing skill to 168.

i had leather and i have 100 smithing but i think my problem was i went up the right hand side of the tree witch is the "Heavy" side of the tree. I need to fill up the Left "Light" side aswell.

if you don't want to spend the extra 2 perk points, you can still get Legendary by Fortifying your Smithing skill to 168.

It's probably like General Tullius' armor where you can't get it past a certain point without potions and/or enchantments.

Seriously, pre-enchanted items are the bane of my Skyrim experience.

Tell me about it.

"Hey, see this Nightingale armor? Let's give it REALLY crappy enchantments!"

I have all the perks for smithing and some items just can't be improved to legendary. At least after 3 complete playthroughs I have not been able to with some items. Unique items especially.

I was just thinking this the other day, the 120% or so magic regen is nice but if i could enchant with extra health and extra health regen. that would be brilliant.

Wait, what's this vampire lord armour? I know of the vampire armours, the royal vampire armours but I've not heard of the vampire lord armour. Is it a unique armour? How do you get it?

Smithing about 85ish + one blacksmiths elixir + ring of extreme smithing + necklace of extreme smithing + >insert random gauntlet type< of major smithing wil make any improvable armour/weapon legendary without the specific related perk.

You can continue to improve past legendary with this gear if you have the perks, legendary is maximum you get without boost so they don't bother naming the rest.

You can also add an body enchant, the game has two types of blacksmith aprons, however you have to enchant them yourself.

I have a full set of crafting armor as well as a necklace and a ring set up for smithing and alchemy.

The great thing about the Vampire Royal Armor, is that the +125% Fortify Magicka Regen seems to continue functioning WHILE in VL Form. No other body armor piece does that.
