Is using cheats fun?

I'm finally asking this question just to get some insight on the act of cheating. Does it make the game more fun? Please don't think I'm being holier than thou, I use cheats sparingly, but I mainly use them when I've already shown mastery in a certain part of the game. For instance: I cheat all my locks in Skyrim because I'd already beat every lock in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, I use it just to save time in Skyrim. Every now and then I pick one for old time sake, but then I move on.

I know you can cheat just about everything in almost any game, but I think I would get bored quickly if I used every exploit available. So I try to use cheats sparingly. I was just wondering if cheating the entire game from console commands (pc), is actually enjoyable?

Oh well, I'm probably gonna get smoked by all my friends for posting this, but I was just curious to know. To me it would seem that you have the "casual" cheater, and the "hard core" cheater or the "no cheating at all whatsoever" err non-cheater. Which one are you?

not inherently no, unless it is somehow achieving it through another goal, like skipping boring content or something.
but cheating just for cheating sake?
maybe it has novelty value if you are new to video gaming.

but it really gets old after a while.

I tried two things, just to see if it worked as I'd heard. I saved before trying both. I tried the Ohgma Infinitum glitch, and also the Fortify Restore/Fortify Alchemy/Fortify Enchant thing. I found out that yes, they work, but decided they weren't for me. I didn't like the way a character could become way over powered, and personally had no burning desire to level skills or items that fast and easy. I reloaded my saves both times. Each to their own though.

Yes. It saves time in areas that you've done before and aren't particularly fond of, when it comes to creating new characters. Allows for you to make characters that fit your backstory well; such as a character with infinite magicka, stamina, etc.
And sometimes it's just fun to turn yourself into a slab of murderous muscle and wipe everything off the map.
