Using hair pack mods in the creation kit

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 7:12 am

So there's all these neato spiffy new hair packs coming out but no directions on how to use them in the creation kit. It's been so long since I've done it in Oblivion and things are so different now I thought I would simply ask...how do you use these hair packs on a comnpanion you're creating in the creation kit?

Is there a series of simple steps like there used to be? Tutorial? Any help is appreciated.

"Spiffy new hair packs?" Are these like Apachii Sky Hair and MTOH?
When I create one, I just make sure that plug-in .esp or master is checked in the data menu but not the active file. The active file is your mod.
I then create my NPC, and the hsir plug-in will be available as a choice for hair.

I specify in my release notes for that esp that the hair pack I used is mandatory, or the NPC will appear bald (unless it was a replacer, in which case it will just appear differently).

It's that easy? Okay, I just remember in Oblivion CS it was much more complicated or maybe it's just my imagination,.
