Valve's Steam Machine

I didn't see anything else about this. Valve released a prototype of their console called the Steam Machine.

And it looks like this. http://cdn0.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/9245401/STEAM_M_console_controller_hero_large_verge_super_wide.jpg

Thoughts?

It's going to be as popular as the Ouya was---sorry but I don't think this is going to be a major hit  .

I don't doubt it. In one of those links it is compared to the Kindle Fire, which loses money on the device and makes a profit on books, movies, etc. Same thing will probably happen with this.

Unless of course Half-Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3, and Portal 3 are all exclusive to it. :P

VALVe confirmed that none of the video games that they develop will never be exclusive to Steambox, Steam Machines, SteamOS I think it was yesterday or today that VALVe confirmed it.

Agreed. Don't think it will grab much attention and become something as big as the Xbox or Playstation. I suppose it's a bit too early to tell? Still curious as to how the controller will be like.

We had a thread about it back when it was first announced.

Valve is taking a fairly smart approach to it, and it actually does have a decent potential userbase if they get it right (i.e. make it a Linux multimedia box that's dead easy to set up).
