Vamp attacks : V

I know there are probably 100 threads about this but here it is.

I understand that if you go with the Dawnguard the random vamp attacks, in towns on citizens, cease.
I heard that if you go with the Vampire side the random attacks stop immediately, right after you join.
Is this true?

not too sure, but im fairly certain that ive had some attacks even after i joined either faction

Hmm, i know they continue with Dawnguard. But, if you side with the Vampires and then they randomly raid a town i know they will be aggro towards you and you would be fighting and killing allies from your own clan, so it would make sense if they stopped but who knows..
Best way to find out is just do it i guess.
