Vampire Face Changes : V

Hello,

So i hear a lot of people don't like the way Dawnguard changes vampire faces to be more unpleasant and bat like. For some reason, my character still has the same facial features he had before i installed Dawnguard, and before he was bitten by Harkon. The thing is, i actually want my character to look like the other vampires and to have more demonic looking features.

Can someone tell me if the face changes are random? As a number of other vampires in Harkon's group also have retained their pre-Dawnguard faces.

I know right!? Are you on PC? If so hit ` and then type in showracemenu....from there scroll all the way down on "complexion". That's the only way you can have the bat nose, so unfortunately if you are on console....erk.

I actually like the way my vamp looks. Now if only I had that bat nose.

Nope. Not at all. All you have to do when your done is hit R, re-enter the name and bingo.

The thing is, i've used showracemenu in the past, and it's completely reset my character.

I've done this a dozen times over, it's common knowledge....the only way it's going to reset is if you change your race or six. If you really don't believe me just save before you do it.

Remember to save and reload afterwards to re-add your racial ability. Sometimes it disappears. Man, I sound like Wheatly, lol

I had a look, and couldn't find anything that gave my guy a "batface" in the complexion list.

Are you currently a vampire? It should be the veeeery last one. I think it's always the last one.

Yeah. I was a vampire before Dawnguard, and i've been bitten by Harkon too.

Perhaps my character can't have the new vamp face. It's why i asked if it was random, or maybe even determined by race(my guy is an Altmer).

Nope. I have an Altmer my very self and I got the bat-face. Weird. It's not random or determined by race, you simply can't have it without using the console.

Your other option is http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21667 mod. But you'll reset your character so....

I tried again, but it's just not there in the list of complexions. The last one just makes my guy look older.

I could be something i have downloaded that's overwritten or removed it. I wonder if deleting and downloading Dawnguard again will change anything?

I think that "older" setting your seeing is actually the bat-face. Try changing the noses to see if you can get a bat-nose (should also be one of the very last)?

I'm certain it's just the "old" looking complexion. It's available even to a non vampire character, and is different to the complexion of the batface vampires. I also couldn't find a suitable nose either.

If you've got the USKP installed, the corrections to vanilla vampire eyes will override Dawnguard's additional complexions, though this should be fixed soon.

Harkon's court, though not strictly "beautiful," do not have the scary vampire complexion.

For some reason my dark elf's face is lighter than my actual skin tone??

Had to get myself thrown in jail and just noticed that today.

Doesn't the vampires face slowly change over time during and depending on what stage of vampirism you're going through? It's been a while since I was a vampire and I cured it shortly after I acquired it.

No it doesn't work that way. Your face is the same all throughout the stages.

Shows how much interest I really took into my vampire. I thought her face would change over time. Good thing I cured her of that wickedness, I like my face change idea better.
