Backstory:
Odin was a born and raised nord spent most of his childhood in the room above his fathers apothecary shop untill one day right before closing time the door to his fathers shop swung open and a man walked in, his father immediately pulled a dagger from under the counter but it was already to late the man spoke to his father and said " I told you that I would come for you just like I came for your wife, where is that disgrace you call a son" his father than said " he is stronger than you will ever be he will destroy you" his father than yelled " run Odin run ad never look back! " than he returned the next day to find his dad dead, blood svcked right out of him. He's been looking for someone to help him fight the vampires and find his fathers murderer, that's where the dawngaurd comes in.

Name: Bilbo baggins
Race: Khajit
Gender: Male

Backstory: He wanted to keep his wolf form to remain both cat and dog. He sometimes chases himself. (This makes me have to run in a circle every 10 minutes for 20 seconds even if in combat)

Uhm... no. First of all, just becuse we roleplay dont mean we want to roleplay with other players. xD Second the amount of people that seriusly roleplays in a mmo is like 1% of the people playing it. Skyrim is a RPG (Role playing game).

Hmm, i would consider my previos post a explaination... Ohh well, basicly: roleplaying isent nessesarly about interaction with other players. It can be one person alone living out a fantasy.

Name: RAAM
Race: Orc
six: male
Backstory: RAAM was chilling in windhelm when he heard about the Dawngaurd. He checked them out and was not impressed with their annoying attitude or their puny crossbows so he said "screw you guys I'm joining the Vamps" so hence forth RAAM lived the rest of his days running around as an Immortal hellbat that could force choke giants burning down skyrim while riding his undead inter-dimensional immortal horse with this hot vampire side kick making sarcastic comments to all the frost giants he insta kills with force grip.

Derik Bearclaw: Breton Mom, Nord Stepfather...hence the name.
Battlemage

Derik was a happy go lucky kid, his mother being a mage his stepfather being a Mercenary. He grew up learning both. After year's Traveling around as a mercenary, he was comming back to the area he grew up in. He was caputured crossing the boarder, found out he was Dragonborn and did what he concidered his duty and rid the world of Alduin. After running across a Dragon Priest he decided to track as many down as he could and distroy them once and for all. While doing this he watched the Civil war rage and knowing that it was just weakening both Skyrim and the Empire he chose to fight on the side of the Empire. After returning to Windhelm he found out that Vampires have been attacking and when he met a man that asked him if he wanted to join a group of vampire hunters he decided that it was a good idea and would go well with his own Dragon Priest hunt.

why do people role play in a single player game?

I can't speak for everyone but for me, it's a matter of play style. I have 1000 plus hours in Skyrim and I don't have all the questlines completed. Each of my character's has their own backstory, some simple some more complex. Each has their own agenda, it's not written in stone, but a guideline that I go by. Their morality, personality, motivations. If each of my character's does only one "new" questline, then I can have alot of playthrough's doing the same questlines in different way's with different skill's. MQ and explore... Companions and part of MQ.... Main Quest and Civil war...etc. Each character with different skill's.

Role playing, keeps the game fresh, if you don't role play, you may as well, make one character, complete the game and move on, but with roleplaying, you make new characters, do things a different way, set yourself restrictions and other such things, like for example- (I don't do this it's just the first thing that popped into my head ) Considering Khajiit aren't supposed to be let into cities, you could roleplay a theif;/assasing khajiit, that enters cities at night, to scavenge or kill, whilst people are asleep, and you stay in a shelter during daylight hours if you're near a city, you get my drift?
