Vampire Lord Build questions.

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:53 am

So since the vampire lord, like the werewolf, is limited to the use of its specific abilities, coming up witj a character build that is based solely around it is difficult. Yes i plan to fill the vampire tree, but what skills will be useful besides just the vampire's? What perks would you all recomend i invest in, if i plan on using the vampire form as my main combat ability? I hear that jewlry and stones affect you whilst in vampire form is this true? Any other pointers for creating the perfect vampire lord?

Get the Necromage perk and atronach perk in their respective skill trees and the atronach stone to make a super Vampire so yeah...

But wouldnt necromage only be useful outside of vamp form? Since you cant use restro spells while transformed?

Oh you expect to only fight in the VL form, I thought you meant all around build for a Volkihar vampire.

Illusion is good as well for quiet casting.

Side question, a bit off topic. How clunky is VL form? Is it hard to manuever and aim spells and attacks?

Its very easy to control, its just easy to forget you have to charge the drain life spell and night magic or they won't cast, for tougher fights I switch to melee combat and start biting like a fiend.

I said the atronach perk and atronach stone so your weakness to fire is moot...I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

I've yet to make the super vampire character, I've just made my Imperial a Vampire on my first go through of the DLC.

The atronach perk and stone will screw with your summons due to a known bug between summons and magic absorption. I wouldn't recommend getting either one if you want to summon gargoyles.

I can see getting recovery and magic resistance useful as well. Does avoid death work in VL form? And does Quiet casting?

Speaking of summoning gargoyles, does twin souls affect your conjuring abilities as a VL?
