So I recently started a new character and found that every time this character comes out of his vampire lord form he goes back to being a human.

He keeps all the vampire abilities and weaknesses (except the resist disease/poison effect).

I've tried fixing it by recontracting vampirism from hostile NPC vamps as well as using the console commands to add back vampirism. Now both give me back my vampirism but the moment I go vampire lord and come out of it I go back to being "mortal" again.

Neither Harkon nor Serana have the option to bite me again (tried that option both at the start of DG and after the end)

I'm playing on the Xbox 360 which means I can't exactly keep using console commands as it is bloody time consuming having to transfer my save back and forth for the sake of using that one command to change race over and over.

I'm wondering if there are any other possible permanent fixes available? Searched Google and these forums but no luck finding a definitive answer.
