Well of course it is. Being a Vampire Lord offers you great powers if you use them correctly. Also, I heard you can fly very close to Vvardenfell and even see its shores.

While vampire lord sure is usefull in some cases, the fire weakness you get is so bad its not realy worth it (Unless you just like vampires like me).

It's as useful as it is in Skyrim, I like to go head to head with challenges without Werewolf or Vampire Lord.

No offence but... QUIT BEING A LITTLE [CENSOR] AND DEAL THE THE MOTHER [CENSOR]ING DIFFICULTY!!!
Now...with that out of the way, don't be a little pansy and become OP for the DLC. If you are OP it is not challenging nor is it fun. So it isn't useful there regardless, it would make the DLC less fun if you play through it OPed. I was a werewolf and I didn't change ONCE because I found the DLC hard as hell but I found it a challenge and fun the first time through. I will still probably never play through it as a werewolf or VL just for the sake of me being OPed and making the DLC not fun anymore.

Opinion and Fact: The more OP you are the less fun a game becomes, first experience being OP "OMG Did you just see that???? I just murdered that guy in two hits!" second experience being OP "oh wooow, oh yea, so fun, dead in two hits *sigh* same as before. This game isn't fun *places game on shelf to never be played again" That is a Fact. My opinion is NEVER play a game and become OP, Skyrim tried to stop that but by adding VL and werewolves sometimes the game isn't fun but hell. Most of the time it is so challenging I love it.

Then dont go to Solstheim xD. Its recommended for higher levels. Im not sure you could even manage it on easy if your level 8.

It's not nearly as useful as it is in Skyrim. Vampiric grip is ineffective on many enemies (lurkers, werebears, werewolves, seekers), Corpse Curse isn't effective against Lycanthropes (werewolves, werebears). You'd mostly be limited to your Vampiric Drain spell for offense. Also, there are dragons and ashspawn who use fire, so there's a weakness, and then there's the obvious problem of daylight. The last problem I can think of is
Spoiler
Miraak. The Vampire Lord form is hardly effective at all against him, plus, he uses dragons during his fight with you, and he has firebreath.
I'm sure you can make the Vampire Lord form work to you advantage in some way, but overall, I would not say that it is suited to do battle on Solstheim.

What? this is ridiculous. It is not a fact that over powered characters aren't fun. That's just your opinion. People want that kind of power, so let them choose the way they want to play.
