Vampire Thieve's Guild Bug needs to resolve for New Dawnguar

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:02 pm

This happens for ALL Thieves Guild Hoods & Linwe's Hood on both male/female nord, breton,imperial....Makes them go bald (Best looking hoods in the game in my opinion) Anyone know a work around?

Also we need to fix the mask on the Darkbrother hood male nords, imperial.....etc

I think the Hood sometimes doesn't count as a full set of head thingy, because I had both a Hood and the Dark Brotherhood headwar but my character was bald. It really made my badass vampire look like a washed up old loser.

Ah so it's because f vampirism that my female Breton became ugly as sin with that hood. Interesting lol...

I don't even notice any difference at stage 4 vampirism with the facial appearance. Idk if that's intended but I wanted to see fangs!

The ancient DB hood done the same thing for my Khajit... my only hair was the fur sticking up from his ears... so the hood just removed them

-edit- however it did mean i could also wear another helmet, meaning i'd get the armor rating for both plus the bons for wearing complete DB armor set.
Works good when also wearing Volsung, thinks thats what its called anyway the water breathing one.

There's a couple things not showing up for vampires.
Thieves Guild Hood
Linwe's Hood
Blade's Shield
Ebony Shield

Also, the human races when set to the lightest skin color go the darkest when they turn, and the vampire eye is not set properly on female vampires humans I believe, maybe others.
And there is a glitch involving eye liner or eye shadow that if you have it on your character, then load a game, they get a bunch of dirt on their face. The workaround doesn't work with 1.6 anymore for that one though.
Overall, they're just cosmetic things and will probably get fixed eventually.

My female vampire didn't get the correct eyes when she turned. Is there a solution for this?

I hope the problems I mentioned in my previous post get fixed for Dawnguard. You'd think they would polish up the vampires since that is one of the main selling points of this DLC.

Can't. On PS3. Correct me if I'm wrong but, I assumed that the vampires recieve black and red, or at least red eyes. My vampiric assassin, Serenya (Imperial) eyes have turned a dark orange, while her whites remain, well, white.

Yeah its a long known issue, from the same time of this bald hood issue... there are so many critical bugs that had been ignored by all patches. I love the game, having fun like none other before(as far as I can remember...) but these downsides must get some attention.

Well it be crazy for them to ignore this issue since thousands more will become a vamp for the first time.

Visions can we please get a answer to this? This has been a problem since release day for 100% of users.

Try 99.9999999999% of users

This hasn't been a problem for me, so it's not true to say it's been a problem for 100% of users. Probably not even 100% of vampire players know about this bug.

All equipment in Skyrim can be race specific. On the form for each piece there's a list of races to include or exclude, and the designer highlights the race/s that can "use" each item. For those mentioned above, hoods specifically, the Vampire races (and some others) simply were not selected in the "use" list so they don't render properly causing the bug for many players. :)

This bug allows you to equip multiple headwear, you can equip as many linwe's hoods, thieves guild hoods and guild master hoods as you want.

You can change them around, the nightingale hood is unaffected. I've managed to wear 2 circlets and the nightingale hood at one time, which I so useful considering I don't enchant on that character.

Sure, but there hasn't been this much emphasis on vampires since launch. Now that they are featured more predominantly, perhaps this bug will be receive higher priority.
