I tested it at my friends house on the Xbox, and it didn't work on skeletons, but it worked on humans. Have you tried it on them?

I've noticed it periodically refusing to work on xbox...

Let's look at it this way though, as you are on PC you aren't 100% reliant on Beth to fix it for you, so that being said I hope it gets sorted for you soon. <3 vamp grip :D

Sadly, because of how third person camera works, you have to aim well over the enemy's head. Like 2-3 feet in literal terms. Vampiric grip works on all (non-huge) enemies, it just has weird targeting.

So place the reticle on their head then move up a tad, then it should take as long as you are lined up at least.

I have found that on the PC version, vampiric grip does not work if you have god mode enabled (tgm). Disabling god mode makes grip work perfectly. I have tested disabling god mod, using vampiric grip on a foe and reenabling god mode while I was choking them. This caused the foe to continue to be gripped but they lost no health. I don't know if that is the reason why vampiric grip isn't working for you but it was the reason for me.

Same problem, PC, not in god mode. It worked for a while then suddenly stopped working at all. I've tried it on several humanoids to be certain, conjurers and foresworn, aiming directly at their head, and no effect.
