You can fast travel by going to the world map in your pipboy, but there aren't any vehicles you can drive around.

What kind of a game you think is a game where you are taken thru areas and places without even having to take your hands from your pockets?
And rather write all words in small letters than capitalizing every first letter.

Its about exploration and if you fast travel and always take direct routes you will miss a lot of locations and adventures and side stories etc. Also there is a lot of experince you gain from wandering around. Do you want to get it over with? Then do the main quest that effectively short cuts the whole thing or you can wait until you can get the Explorer perk ( an Ironic title for a perk which makes exploration pointless) and then you can just go directly anywhere.

yes it can take a while to get to an undiscovered location, but you can find some amazing encounters on the way there. Some of the best stuff in the game is found in the out of the ay places.

you would miss out on a lot of the amazing lands scapes to see if your just in a vehicle. But i agree with you, there were horses in oblivion so really there should be other means of transport. On the other hand there arnt any roads and everywhere is covered in rubble and debris

The Explorer perk only reveals the Locations, but you must visit them yourself to fast-travel.

The game engine does not support vehicles. There are some mods out there, but they are rather buggy and require FOSE, but that isn't a bad thing.

But you might be able to milk a mole rat, at least that's what Moira said. I know that's udderly ridiculous. know I'm milking that one.

I do believe that is the most appropriate answer to his question. I don't know what it means but nothing is more appropriate than that.

Riding about on horses post-apocalypse seems a very British thing. Though one does wonder how they survived the food shortage.

ok what does that mean?

It means "incomprehensible" in Japanese.

I believe that Neuromantik is referring to the OP's, shall we say, idiosyncratic and "creative" way of expressing himself in written English.
