I don't think anyone's flying that gunship. I believe that the ship is something that players can call in, or it might be random. Anyway, it isn't pilotable.

We think that the gunship is an automated reward, not pilotable.

Yeah, it certainly looked like that in the gameplay

Harriers don't shoot down enemies;
they shoot down enemy teams.
And they also shoot down other killstreaks.
And a bonus airstrike.

Somtime I think the design process at IW is like:
Guy One: "Hey, we should put 'this' in! It would be awesome!"
Guy Two: "Yeah!"
Guy Three: "But wouldn't that be overpowered?"
Guy Two: "STFU no one likes you"

I think MW2 a good thing to compare it to, because almost everyone will know what you're talking about.

If I started to ramble on about Oddjob with 2 golden guns a lot of people wouldn't have a clue what i'm on about.
[That little s*** lol]

To state the facts; killing people causes them to "drop" dogtags,
you then collect these tags and "spend" them on rewards.
They're not pilotable (as far as we know)
They last through death, so they're not "killstreaks".
There's also no way of saying they're as overpowered as ... (wait for it)
... MW2!
Innocent until proven guilty, or in this case, balanced untill proven otherwise.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Has there been a quote from the devs that the other game modes that haven't been shown yet don't have vehicles?

No news on pilotable vehicles, Crytek has kept a tight lip on that information and won't speak either way.

Then I would bet there are vehicles in at least one of the other gamemodes because there are confirmed vehicles in the singleplayer and their much hyped cryengine 3.

If there were no vehicles at all in multiplayer they would have said something justifying that on the forums by now and not let the **** load of flame threads about it go on for so long.

The reason they've said nothing is that they are sticking to their original information release schedule. Seems like a stupid thing to do to me but that seems like the most likely thing their doing.

There may be vehicles in the SP campaign though.
Maybe Crytek have not really showed it off or emphasized on it because its not a big part of the gameplay - the nanosuit is.
MAYBE...

+1

Every crytek game I've heard of has had vehicles. This is the first time that they've made a console game but that doesn't mean they'll change everything.

Also, vehicles were a big part of the multiplayer in Crysis even if half the people that played hated them.

I expect that there will be some type of way to kill vehicles with out a rocket launcher as a fix to how over powered they were. Either by shooting them, punching them, or hijacking them is my guess.

Yeah they were, I don't know about MP though. But putting in vehicles might pose a lot of problems with the kind of maps we're seeing here...

In this interview:
http://www.360magazine.co.uk/interview/crysis-2-multiplayer-interview/
They said, that they don't focus so much on vehicles, they dont mind :) But that doesn't means that there won't be any vehicles in MP

They clearly said there won't be Vehicles in Crysis 2. Perhaps, some will come via DLC, patch or an expansion....
