I am very disappointed in PC multiplayer gaming!

My wife and I went through 6 years of tough times and we really didn't have the money for me to build a gaming PC. 4+ of those years I was strictly a console player. Last year we finally got out of debt and I built this gaming PC over time and finally finished it a few weeks ago. So naturally I upgraded BF3 to Premium and I bought COD BO 2 for PC and low and behold there's hardly anyone playing either game. I was depressed for about a week until I finally gave in and went and bought another 360 yesterday.

I only could afford the 360, x2 1600 point cards and a 400 point;s online (Skyrim DLC) and a used copy of MW3. I have MW3 on PC and your lucky to find 2k people playing on a good night. So I log in the 360 not expecting too many players and low and behold there's 80K people playing. The most amount of people I seen on COD BO 2 for PC was 34k people and at night there is around 6k players, and 6k players is not enough to play every game type.

I am so disappointed in PC multiplayer I was expecting the same number of players as consoles. I do blame myself for not doing research because I have spent the last 1.5+ years playing mmoprg's because my PC wasn't that great. So it looks like I am going to have to play RPG's and MMORPG's on my PC and any type of multiplayer games on the 360. In a way I wish I could go back to the hay day of PC gaming when everyone and their brother was playing Unreal, Half life, and Quake. I remember back then the servers were always packed! Maybe one day PC will return to its former glory. (one can only hope.)

Who cares about numbers? Was it that hard to find a match? That is ehat is important.

PC gamers don't really play games like CoD, and you also have to consider that there are waaay more games on PC, so the populations will be more spread out.

If I were you, I'd look for a dedicated community for the game, that's the best way to find matches in lower population games. I've been trying to play Persona 4 Arena online, but it's kinda hard by yourself.
