It's very sad that kids died today. But..

Post » Sat Dec 15, 2012 11:32 am

What about the 10,000 children that died today from starvation alone? Is that not news worthy? Did those kids not have a future? Or families to cry and lament over? Did those kids not have mothers who cried over their bone-like corpses?

Good job, media. Hit the nail on the head.

Or the 176 children killed by drones in Pakistan? Children dieing is always tragic, the only reason people pretend to care about this one is because they are white

Not only is this post in bad taste, but you clearly missed the fact that http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1430948-school-shooting-in-connecticut/

Good job, OP. Hit the nail on the head. Or not.

No one said that isn't a tragedy. It's an acknowledged issue, and that's why there are entire relief foundations dedicated to it. But the news thrives on what's current. Another tragedy occurring doesn't lessen the severity of one that's already taking place. Why do you think you're forced to only care about what the media is currently talking about? They're doing their job.

This pretty much destroyed your OP, Mister OP.

Bad taste? One death is now more relevant than the other? The mother who lives in a 3 bedroom house driving a Mercedes deserves airtime over a homeless dirty woman who weighs 70 pounds because all the food she can find in the streets goes to her starving and sick baby in a 3rd world country most of you have never even heard of? That makes her less relevant?

ONLY THE MOST TRAGIC TRAGEDY MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED!

ALL OTHER TRAGEDIES SHOULD BE IGNORED BECAUSE THEY AREN'T AS TRAGIC AS THE MOST TRAGIC ONE.

Before the inevitable lock I gotta say, things like this always get more coverage because they happen on our doorstep, not overseas. And it's an event that could've been stopped by something as simple as having a police officer in the school. But of course, gun control and all that nonsense gets involved
