I've noticed that the bookshelves in your houses in Skyrim are the same models and textures as other things in the house that other items rest on, such as food and potions.

It would be awesome if in a future patch, Bethesda could make it so that you can pick up and store away all these items in a chest or something and use the shelves they were on as bookshelves instead, so that I can fulfill my dream of having a grand library in my house! The only difference I've seen is that sometimes these same "models" have an extra shelf or a few extra shelves stacked on top of them, but seeing as I've seen 2 shelf bookshelves and four shelf bookshelves it shouldn't be a a problem.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I've surprised myself by becoming a book collector, as well - mainly due to the organizable book shelves in the house. I remember when I first discovered the book shelves, and then the weapon displays, also looking for other interactive features on the shelves, tables, etc. Seems like it would be reasonably simple to implement, but then, I'm not a software engineer.

Personally, I see the bookshelf as geting rid of hours and hours of placing books in Oblivion (Which im sure quiet a few of us did), and I personally love the weapon racks (When they work ) but I don't see a use for anything more really. Since we can place things by hand everywhere else, no point in making everything auto-decor. Though I for one would love to see a comeback from the 'themes' you could buy in F3.

If every set of shelves could be used as the organizable book shelves, that would be great.
