Now Dont get Me Wrong (No Haters Please) I Love the Magic System in Elder Scrolls but the is one big FLAW. Mostly Everything is the Same Animation and affect.Now i will Give Skyrim Credit they Made improvements. the lightning spells ,the summoning Spells,the Rune Spells and they did add a couple new animations like the flamethrower animation(hand fully extended,which is the same animation used for all three minor destruction spells FLames,Sparks And Frost,) Ice Spear (also sorta giving spears in the game which everyone wants)The Wall Animations Were Cool so were the Master Spell Animation(in my mind the master spells were the biggest and Best Change in magic Animation And Affect)but the fireballs were still fireballs, the lightning (even though it looked so much better) were still lightning Blasts.I know bethesda and zenimax have the Best Minds Of the Rpg World Working For them and i also think that Bethesda And Zenimax are Hands Down The Leaders of The Rpg Gaming Genere.So im Puzzled why they Dont have any world alter Animation or affects. I've Played other Rpgs Where i have summoned a Volcano That Came Straight up from the ground formed around an Enemy and erupted instantly killing any enemy inside and doing splash damage to everyone around it. Ive Caused Earthquakes and During these Earthquakes My Screen Shook My Character would sometimes lose balance if i wasn't careful and the enemy would be svcked in to the huge Gaping Hole That Formed.These spells had monsterous Cool down times and were set up diffrently than ES But Couldnt ESO Adapt somehow.I ve Had Walls Of Fire 10 Feet high and Ive Cast SHields not on my person but on the battlefield. i Alos wish to see new player affects like for example if someone casts silence on you when the silenced person tries to cast have him take damage and have a Some Colored animation Blink around his hands and have the character gasp.In Dragons Dogma They Had petrification and you could literally watch as your character became a statue it was amazing.Now i Know Most of these suggestions aren't feasible for ESO. but cmon Zenimax you need to step it up Heres a list i have been thinking about and animations and affects.
Triple Element Blast: Fire,Frost and Shock Swirling around each other heading for the enemy.When the enemy Gets Hit depending on stats he takes stun damage and the armor should actually look like he got hit
Blind Spell:Literally Blinds The Opponent for a short duration.The affected character should only see a blinding white screen
Speed Boost Spell: Stamina Stats Are Increased Actual Player Size(Height and Width) should be temporarily Increased with powerful breathing sound affects
Petrification Spell: Dust should swirl in the casters hand have it swirling from the ground. Then Throw it at the Enemy watch has the enemy slowly turns into stone and add appropriate rock crackling sounds(this one probably isn't feasible for Eso But would love to see it in single player)
The Sun Spell(great for templar ) Dual Hands which has a very small spark of fire in between them which they cast onto the battlefield .which thens suddenly expands(must expand on battlefield for dramatic epicness effect) to form a mini sun which levitates mid air damaging all hostiles near it add appropiate sun crackling sounds have have flares coming off the sun orb also does extra damage against undead and heals your party.
Lightning Rain:Summons Down Lightning from the sky with appropriate thunder sound affects(infamous had great thunder sounds) have caster literally bring his hand up then down
Lava Field:Summons a Field Of Molten Lava that Hurts ANYBODY who Touches it Character should Place his hands down with charged fire spell and should cast for 3-4 seconds directly onto the field
Ring of FIre: Master spell animation from skyrim perfect summons ring of fire 5-6 feet high surrounding your party
Frost Mist: Hands Should turn pale white and emitts pale gas the freezes opponents also area frost affects should be present with a slow frost tingling Sound
Hail storm:Character should whip the air above him creating a storm cloud which instantly hovers over enemy player and proceeds to rain down hail upon him
Entomb:Player should grip the ground a trail of disturbed ground should then lead from players hands to enemy at which time the enemy is entombed in the Earth(sort of swalloed upor litterally entombed in a rock casket would be cool) takes earth damage and unable to move for 10 seconds
Rock Blast:Summons Different sizes rocks depending on lvl skill and other variable factors and hurls them at opponet player should grunt
Target Spell: A spell that targets and weakens a characters magical defense all spells we automatically attack this targeted person. Target is identified by symbol above his head
Now with the power of PS4 hopefully spells like these are on the way .Bethesda ,Zenimax i know you can do it. I Have Faith in you
