Visor in MP : Crysis

Hey peeps, loving the game so far. Just a question about the Visor.

Does it actually have any function in online Multiplayer? I'm only lvl 8 and everytime i try checking the visor it dont seem to be much use at all. Am i missing something?

You can still tag enemies with the visor. If you tag them you get an icon on screen which makes it easier to track them, plus I think the icon appears on your teammates hud and you get some points if one of your team kills the guy you've highlighted.

Yeah, the action is pretty fast-paced for tagging. I guess you could cloak and lurk in an elevated position just trying to tag enemies for your team. I may give it a try, but much prefer being in the thick of it myself.

No such points mechanic. It would be a cool feature though

No, you do get points. If a team-mate kills an enemy you tagged, you'll get 20 XP for a "Tag Assist"

However, the tag doesn't last forever, and I've had a couple of situations where it wore off right before my team-mates made the kill and I got diddly squat. The hilarity comes from tagging cloaked enemies though.

Agreed. Tagging cloaked enemies is just hilarious as the marker follows them around. They really don't know what hit 'em.

I noticed though that tagging an enemy requires (if I'm not mistaken) their whole body. If it's only a section, it does not register.

I love tagging the other team, it funny to watch my team pick off cloaked players, and I bet it'd be even funnier to listen to them whine about getting killed.
