I think that it is a major problem. I did try everything what I could. but it is really pathetic. if I turn on catalyst AI, the whole game is unplayable. slow motion or photo slide show. 5fps? are you kidding me? it never happened to any game I have. I didn't even care about adjusting catalyst options for gaming before because my entire game just ran great. I found the reason. the game uses openGL rather directX which gives me disadvantage of using powerful AMD graphic card or NVIDIA. both graphic cards is not really compatible with openGL. nobody uses it for gaming today when you easily achieve great performance with directX. who gives you [censored]? this is ID software huge mistake. they'd better fix this whole disaster. otherwise nobody will trust their games anymore. so much about father of FPS game. my ass.

You have to create a new profile for Rage, and force VSYNC to ON. Otherwise NVIDIA pushed a profile update to disable VSYNC the other day (if you have the update feature on). Even if there is no current profile, create one and you will see that it has been forced to OFF.
