I'm getting some neat results.

I'm also using Race balancing and all the mergable esp that bg made that adds the races to the leveled lists. Doing so when sneaking through abandoned castles in windfall - I'm encountering the unusual races of RBP like Ohms-rhat that are dressed in WAC clothes and what seem to be WAC classes. So amongst a group of TIE like bandits I find a nature druid that has RBP face (weird tattoo for Ohms-Rhat) and long mustache (WAC) in WAC robes and carrying inventory from all over my load order, but an emphasis on WAC racial and bandit weapons. Orcs with Mutton chops and battle axes and barbarian attire.

And they all fight tough like in TIE.

Very happy with this.

Any chance to make WAC 1 beta work along with FCOM? A patch? A patch sacrificing the most conflicting bits and pieces? Like TIE4MODS which made TIE partly possible to play along with FCOM??


The FCOM team does have an interest in eventually making WAC and FCOM more compatible. However, IIRC Waalx suggested waiting until WAC progressed beyond Alpha/Beta status, both because of the unfinished/changing nature of the project itself, and because he wished WAC to be judged on its own merits before sacrificing some elements in the interests of compatibility. One can hardly blame him--and his wishes will be respected. As far as I know, that's where the project stands... on hold ... and since Waalx himself indicated that this version is an interim release, there are currently no plans to make patches for it.

I have a question about the Gargoyles. When i meet one at a ruin and after i defeat it, it lies there dead as every other creature that are killed. Then when i enter the ruin...go through it and when i exit the ruin these Gargoyles are flapping their wings and come back to life all be it with little life. Are they supposed to do that, if so then that is a cool feature...a creature that plays dead only to have a chance to attack you again. :cool:

Damn. WAC 0.5 worked fine for me but after updating to 1.0b I got several NPCs with invisible clothing. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and is there any fix to this? I got the Imperial Legion problem fixed, but it seems some changes made to ESM or the TCOS.esp are causing invisible clothing. For example some of the WAC mage robes turned invisible (no icons either).

Haven't noticed this myself, did you update BOSS and run it again after Vacuity added updated bash tags to the WAC files yesterday? Either that or add the tags listed in this thread few posts back.

I'd recommend a clean save from the alpha too.

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking of doing this, just wasn't sure if it was a good idea.

Damn again. I disabled the alpha and got the NPC's back their vanilla clothing. Then I installed the beta and BAM invisible torsos everywhere! There has to be something I'm missing here.

Solved the issue and once again proved my own idiocy. I had the old WAC-OOO patch active which was obviously incompatible with the new version :facepalm: sorry for the hassle!

As I understand it the main plugins would not have quest progress to lose. While the dungeon mod or RS gladiator might have mostly nothing to worry about.

I'd also wait in an isolated cell for respawn (reset in wrye bash to 1 day then wait 2 or if vanilla wait 4 days) after updating.

BOSS should handle all that just fine for you - especially now that Vacuity has added the tags to the masterlist.

Yes, BOSS seems to be a good thing this time, and placing Bash tags by myself often smells a bit fishy.

Found an issue at the Gnoll Meeting Camp (just southeast of Kvatch, -29 -4). Travelling to that place instantly crashes the game for me, but looking in tes4edit I can't find any obvious conflicts. When trying to view that cell in the CS with WAC.esp loaded, the CS immediately crashes aswell. Anyone have an idea what I can do to solve this?

Tried simply removing the worldspace entry for gnollmeetingcamp in WAC.esp, and could now travel there. But that caused landtearing etc, so either I didn't delete enough or I deleted too much :)

I just tried going there as well and it indeed crashes to desktop for me as well.

If at a different time but same day wait out a cell respawn then try to go there.

If on another day but the same time and it still crashes try and see if http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:M%27aiq_the_Liar is scheduled to be near there.

Will do some more testing. The link you provided about M'aiq the Liar says that bug should be fixed with the UOP Supplemental however?

Edit: Well, WAC.esp makes a lot of changes to the cell in particular (-29, -4) and also to (-29, -5)
These are located in ExtCellGroup -1, -1 Sub-block -4, -1

The problem is, I have no idea how to go on troubleshooting beyond this since I'm not sure what it might be that causes the crash. It could be the corrupt spawn I suppose, though I've tried it on a fresh save with using coc gnollmeetingcamp from the starter Prison Cell and the game will crash before I finish loading.

Ofcourse I could just avoid the area until WAC is updated and hope it will work later, but if it's something that's rather easily fixed then that would be nice :)

Make a save before traveling there. Prior to arriving open the console ~ and toggle AI off (~TAI) and then if that does not work try again with scripts off (~TSCR).

So that is three things to try - test for corrupt spawn point, see if there is an error in AI then in Scripts.

If already running UOP supplemental then perhaps not M'aiq. Maybe a kvatch mod you are running?

I don't have any Kvatch mods installed yet, I'm being very thorough with this install and checking for issues inbetween pretty much every modinstall. This one I stumbled upon randomly however when I misclicked while checking if fasttravel would crash me. I'll try with the TAI and TSCR commands, thanks for those tips!

Edit: Sadly neither of those 2 worked either, and I tried going there at different days/hours :/ Also tried using coc miscarcandexterior which is the ruin at -29, -1, ie very close by, and then using both TAI and TSCR. Moving from that cell onto -29, -2 will immediately crash the game (2cells from -29, -4 as per Arthmoors post). Couldn't visually see anything from that location which would be wrong before the game crashed.

Edit2: It seems there might be a mesh-problem of some sort, trying again with the CS and getting this errormsg when opening a cell that is close to it:
Model Load Error: Not a .nif file in .Will use the default object Marker_Errors.NIF.


When I choose either Yes/No/Yes to all the CS will crash

Thanks washington for the fantastic news! Found out just last night about the latest version and have been playing on and off since then. I have yet to suffer any crashes and as Waalx has stated this is even better then the previous version. Very balanced feel adding even more believable life to the environment such as guards posted in logical surroundings with some fantastic new armors and shields. Alot of the new textures look great like the reworked Zombie Bride which fits in much more with OBLIVION's art style compared to the previous version which was great for DAGGERFALL and Vincent Price horror movie fans like myself :D The new enemy skeletons based on different races are mind staggering awesome! I was in rpg nirvana coming across argonian enemy skeletons with tails and reptillian skulls while inhabitating a watery dungeon setting. Doenst get anymore perfect then that when it comes to a realistic setting.

Removing the 2 CreaturesWacGnolls07guard solved the problem for me, no more crash and I can fast travel. Those creatures are not in the list of the existing creatures if you look in the CS.

Am having a truly wonderful time playing the latest version of W.A.C. by Waalx. The atmosphere is amazing and creatures you would think silly are downright creepy in the way they were implemented in OBLIVION. Waalx has made the dark places very scary indeed. The textures feel alive and those flying imps and fimps have made my heart jump when the battle music starts playing with nothing in sight only to have them creepily float by the corner of my eye just barely missing their acttack. Love the sound effects and the real world theatrical mood they create. Well maybe not real world but it sure does feel natural ha ha.

I cant believe how buetiful the armors are. When i came across the maurader and battlemage armors i was totally floored with artistic awe as i gazed on beauty such as never has graced a rpg before but only the game boxes of TSR DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS from the 1990s. Its like seeing the ultimate graphics possible by the human hand. I havent been this happy since using the works of AlienSlof and WillieSea.....

Thank you Waalx and all involved for this fantastic gift you give to us all with such dedication.
