Walking the Freedom Trail

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 5:27 am

So, BGS has inspired me to walk the real life Freedom Trail. I'll be in Boston later this week and I'll be visiting all 16 locations. Let you guys know how it goes down. Anyone else inspired to do the same?

Well, I wouldn't mind it at all, but tickets from Scandinavia to the US isn't exactly cheap :D Happy trail tho :)

Tell us if it leads you to a group of freedom fighters hiding in a crypt!

I did it years ago when I went there for a vacation. If I remember correctly, there were two of them. A red one and a blue one. Be warned, tthey're pretty long IIRC

Thanks for the heads up. You know what the Blue one is for?

I drug my wife (weren't married then) and her friend who lives in Boston on it a few years ago (both of them are from New England, we live in California). I am a big American History buff, so I had a blast, they actually did too since it was something new for them, in a city they knew (thought they did :) ) pretty well. Spend some time in each spot. It'll take a few hours to make it through the whole thing up to Bunker Hill, USS Constitution isn't on the trail, but not far from it once you cross the bridge. HAVE FUN!

Nah, was years ago when I was there. But loved Boston. Very clean, nice city. But those trails (and there may be others) are mostly history. I'm a history buff, so loved it. If your not into history I wouldn't bother.

No Problem. One last piece of advice is when it takes you past a grave yard, take a couple mins and read the headstones, you'll find some really instrumental people from our history in a very inconspicuous grave sites. :D
