Wandering through abondoned buildings

Post » Sat May 18, 2013 7:22 am

I love to explore through abandoned buildings [modern ruins], you never know what possible treasures that can be found. Come to think about it, wandering through ruins could make an interesting game. Imagine wandering through ruined cities in a post apocalyptic world based upon pictures of actual abandoned/forgotten/lost locations from around the world.

Sounds more like to me every post-apocalyptic game out there. Unless the OP means exploring the ruins without enemies harassing them.

It's all great until you find [empty] dead bodies.

If I had people to go with and maybe some weapons, I'd do some exploring of abandoned buildings. Sounds like fun, in a completely scary and dangerous way.

One that would be interesting would be Montauk Point Radar Station.. there was a website that had a guy posting pictures from inside but it was deleted.

Treasures? Unless you consider asbestos and mold spores to be treaure then you'll be disappointed by most abandoned buildings

Was this a "I have a game idea!!!!" thread in disguise?

I share your interest though. When I get off this rock, I'm going to be doing much exploration over the next few years, hopefully documenting a fair amount of it. I plan to hit the tunnels of New York when I'm ready for it, as I saw a video that showed a small fraction of the many interesting things that place has to offer. I also have plans for Baltimore and Washington brewing up.

Has anyone here ever been taken anywhere interested from crawling through a water disposal line? Not sure if that's the right term, but you all know what I'm talking about.

That is true. However, being under the influence could make for an interesting venture.

At least I thought it was interesting at the time.

This, and senseless graffiti that claims to be Satanic. Every now and then you find something cool, but it's rare.
