I want to know when the fast travel crashes will be fixed.

Post » Sat Jan 23, 2016 11:17 pm

I see many threads that just dry up on here and the Steam forum with NO REPLIES from Community Managers or Developers. The game is at the point that I am tempted to delete it. I am in my second go around and am having fast travel crashes again at a rate of 45% of the time. This is unacceptable. My computer is well up to par and all my game files are good. I have no mods installed and have tried both Beta and normal game files. If I was to find a common denominator I would say it got real bad after visiting the Institute. I have to go to task manager to stop the game once hung up and see that it is using 90% of my CPU on the hang up.

I and many others await a timely and informative reply. For the record I am not a ranting kid, I am a ranting Grandpa.

Post a dxdiag report, please.

Use the Search box or Run... box, type: cmd and press Enter.

In the command prompt, type:

dxdiag /dontskip
and press Enter.

Wait for the program to load. When it finishes, click the Save All Information button. That will allow you to save the report to a dxdiag.txt in the Documents folder (by default).
Open the file. Select All (Control + A). Copy (Control + C) and Paste (Control + V) its contents here in a reply. Use the spoiler tags, by either using the following:
[spoiler]

dxdiag report text goes here...

[/spoiler]
or by clicking the icon (Special BBCode) next to Font menu, and selecting 'spoiler'.

I don't see a reason for a DXdiag to be run. I want a dialog with a person from the game, not a forum member throwing out the usual banter of this nature.

Fine! Goodluck waiting... developers rarely visit the forums, so you'll have to submit a support ticket and get your completely generic email response.

I truly don't get people like you.

But I do get you. I understand your need to help and appreciate it to a degree. The fact is I built this computer from scratch and know it is up to par. Every component was selected for gaming and video editing for my business.

So with Dev's rarely being here I guess I have waster both of out time.

Good day.

Asking for a dxdiag report doesn't imply that you are computer illiterate or whatnot, it just gives me a starting point to help troubleshoot the issue. It is possible that you could be overlooking something, but maybe nothing is wrong on that end, and I can explore other options.

90% CPU indicates a bottleneck. Most modern games don't use the CPU that much, maybe 50% utilization under most conditions. The bottleneck could be due to hardware incompatibility or hardware degradation or failure.

Yay let's all just sit in here and talk about nothing since nothing is going to be accomplished here!

Ha the developers don't respond(they may read, who knows). Its just the few of us spending our free time trying to help. If its not good enough for you then good day. Btw, for those of us who help, we have no problem with fast travel or whatever so ...
