I want to marry Serana!

You and Serana get really close throughout the Dawnguard main questline. But you can't marry her. It would be great if we could have an update that could make that possible.

Lets not be too harsh on the guy, he did just start on the forums. But seriously dude this is like the one millionth thread about this, you can't marry her which does svck because she is the only character that isn't a robot and actually has a personality. I don't think Bethesda will fix this because they know how lame the marriage system is, and they don't want her character to become crap once she is married.

I would revise that statement, "if you really want it so hard." it sounds a little sixual, unless you meant it to.

Not the ceremony, the actual marriage system svcks, it makes the characters like mindless zombies. Aela was cool, but after I married her she talks as if I brainwashed her. I would hate for Serana's character to get ruined like that.

^This. Or you could marry someone else, and as you're on the road you get "lonely" and Serana is a very good and understanding friend. Ahem. <.<"

I found the unlock to cure Sarena to become human again.

However to get this text you have to avoid asking her "Have you ever thought about a cure?"

You have to completely follow through her entire quest lines before clicking the above question.

Sarena will tell you some stuff "i wont give away her conversation in spoilers" but she disappears for a few days.

After 3 days she returns purified and even better then before. I wont spoil anymore but she does have more random conversation lines if you take her along with you after shes been cured of vampirism.

I was only able to unlock this on xbox and get the mew text options to the cure question after completing 100% of all Seranas quests.

So the quests that appear about marriage and about if she ever feels lonley i accidently clicked those - So on playthru number 7 later today i will avoid clicking on those two questions and save them for the end like I did the "cure" question.

If Bethesda said she is not mara amulet available somewhere - then ive missed reading it.

but I will try again on number 7 playthru of Dawnguard.

Btw - Serana was cured on my human/warewolf dawnguard faction playthu.

Her different text replies after being cured are absolute Gold ~. Thankyou bethesda :)

i hope sarena can be married too in game. if she can be cured why not mara amulet too.

Yeah 0 I can cut the OP some slack. Its understandable.

Frankly, there is such an interest in Serana, she should get her own forum!

For sh*ts & giggles, I found my own Amulet of Mara and went to see what dialog you get. Talk about being 'friendozed'. HA!

Unless Bethesda has a plan up their sleeve, this is a dead end. I however would not object to a quest or two to do something monumental in Serana's honor to get her to change her mind. But as I said in other threads, its moot for me, I am already married. And as someone else said (and i elsewhere) if it will mess her character up, forget it.

Followers are so much more useful anyway. I think people get attached to Serana simply because she is head and shoulders above the rest of the droids, and if you play enough, she grows on you.

She will probably get a forum soon
This seems like the most ongoing topic ever.....................................................
But I only want a meaningful marriage with her in which her voice doesn't change and the character isn't completely ruined

You are right the whole marriage thing is lame, but it's the thought that counts.

What Beth. should really do is a revamp of the whole marriage thing and include it in any future DLC's. Even if Serana doesn't do it for you, a revamp would actually make people want to get married.

Look at crafting arrows - I couldn't give a damn about chopping wood but now I'm actively hunting Dragons and chopping fire wood, all of a sudden there seems to be a point in doing it.

My only problem with marriage now is that it ruins the NPC, it is like it overrides them and turns them into a emotionless robot, as I've said before. And from what I have heard people say Serana actually has a personality and everything, so I don't want that ruined, and unless Bethesda makes it so that marrying Serana is different and it actually doesn't change her personality then I don't want to marry her I will just roleplay we are married.

I don't want to marry Serana...shocking I know. :ermm:

She's the most annoying vampire I've ever met frankly, and I don't say that lightly.

That's a bit more like what I meant with the whole marriage thing. However if you kept her as a follower after you married her it may not be such an problem, definetly couldn't see sitting around in that little dump Breeze home selling knick knaks.

So does everyone else in these forums. You can sign the petition but I doubt Bethesda should focus their attention on marrying a NPC rather than bug fixes.

I think you should watch yourself, and hope we don't meet in an alleyway :stare:. How dare you say that about Serana, she is the best NPC this game has, I think you just don't understand her beauty.

That is true because I think Aela is somewhat like her normal self if you have her as a follower rather than if she is at your home.
