i bet getting into beta is really hard when the time for it comes.

Well they're basically in alpha now, but I don't think its an invite type, more family/friends sort of thing. You can bet that beta will most likely take place between Jan.-March. January is a stretch at this point though, so I'm going to bet either February/March. Best case scenario, ESO launches between July and September.
