Warn Radius Appropriate Distances

I have thought about setting generic hostile mages/warlocks to have a warn/attack radius to represent that they are not bandits, their magic is not necessarily illegal and more so that they are reclusive, xenophobic mages who just want to be left alone to their questionable experiments.

So the question is how far should I set the radius? It needs to be long enough to not allow a player to tip toe around it and loot a dungeon without ever sneaking/getting aggro from anyone, but short enough to be able to hear the warning before they attack. The longest Warn Radius I found in the creation kit was set to 3500, Warn/Attack 2500 and Attack 1500 if I remember right.

I would test it myself, but I am getting a number of other things done in the meantime and could use some advice from someone more experienced on this matter.

On an unrelated note I will probably have to sift through a number of named/quest mages/warlocks who have templates based on generic models who would have this carried over to them and possibly break something, setting them to not use the template's AI Data.
