That Warrior is either a high level in high end gear or hes used the console. What is this supposed to prove?

Meh. Warriors have their weaknesses too. Fighting spellcasters who are backed up by one or more melee dudes is a pain in the ass.

yea it's hacked legendary dragon armor but I also hacked a level 70 mage and it svcked compared to the warrior. I couldn't faceroll anymore.

Compete? Who are you competing with? It's a single player game!

Are mages fun and fulfilling to play, yes? Then whats the problem.

Balance at level 70 with the best armours in the game doesn't prove anything or say anything meaningful about the rest of the game.

give proper mage items to a lvl 70 mage, like you gave proper warrior items to the warrior, and you can faceroll

Um, I was fighting several melee enemies while a mage was well behind them firing an ice spell that traveled along the ground at me... he tore me to pieces. Luckily I had just saved...

You seriously posted a video where the DESCRIPTION says:

"having some fun hacking"

and this is supposed to prove a point?

I kind of agree. I 1-hit anybody when I use one-handed, but my destruction magic barely hurts them. Even against trolls.

Plus, you're required to use power attacks for nearly every non-Novice spell I've seen.

This is your lucky day! You never will meet that Warrior because this is a Single Player Game! Have fun.

Its when a class is so easy to play you can literally plant your face on the keyboard and roll it around mashing random keys and still come out top damage per second...

I feel like mages have to put more effort in to be as powerful as warriors since they have to utilize a full range of spells while melee folks can more or less button mash.

For me, because spells look awesome but it's always nice to be proficient with a sword, I'm trying to make my Imperial into a Battlemage.

a lot more effort and time and in many cases, warriors can get past certain parts easier than mages.

lol i saw this thread title and i thought i thought i was in an mmo forum. THANK GOODNESS IT ISN'T!!!

Played as a pure mage and im loving it. I feel powerful with magic in Skyrim feels like "Living Energy" is how i describe it.
My character feel powerful yet squishy, exactly how a mage should feel like.

  • Get Dualcasting
  • Get the Adv. Dualcasting perk (forgot the name).
  • Take the single-target damage spell and dual-cast it.
Now enemies get staggered on each hit, but as the spell is pretty cheap to cast, you can just keep them staggered. As this works on everything but story bosses, you can just "faceroll" through the game. Makes mages pretty easy to play.
