I think the real reason why you can't have six (not even in marriage) is because people would try and go for race combinations which would result in genetic monstruosities not even the game would render properly, thus breeding a new race in Skyrim and pretty much dooming it's inhabitants because of obvious racial superiority and natural selection.

I think Beth achieved the perfect balance with this aspect of the game, catering to every category:

1. Puritans who prefer to hack, slash, decapitate and dismember... but think a natural urge such as sixuality does not belong can simply ignore the amulet and proceed upon their merry way.

2. The amulet provides an outlet for relationships and romantic roleplaying with tangible bonus and buffs for players who want a more rounded, and I feel, realistic experience.

3. The modders will accommodate those who prefer their coffee hot.

Some of the books are quite explicit, including forced abortion (Barenziah's story, for example). I think that the ESRB realized they missed this in giving Morrowind a "T" rating... then they forced Beth to chaange Oblivion to "M" from "T" after release.

As for six being mostly in the mind, clinical psychologists will tell you that this is exactly the case, and is precisely why erotic stories and other forms of erotic artistic expression have been popular throughout human history.

As for racial combinations, that's not a problem because you simply say that certain combinations are infertile. They may form, but they would be childless, at least as far as natural birth.

I completely agree with this...... the way it is implemented in the game gives the player the option to enable the features or not. Who purchases a swords and sorcery roleplaying game expecting sixual content? If you look at the genre as a whole, even works that involve some romance (like Aragorn's side-plot with Eowyn and Arwen) but rarely has any six.

Sapphires story? There is a girl in Riften named sapphire but she doesent have any dialogue. Ive tried talking to her a billion times >.<

People need to grow up. Once again, it cracks me up that these people have no problems with disembowling, beheadings, blood and guts... I mean for the love of God, look at some of the places you stumble across. You can almost see the brain matter dripping off of them. And yet... you mention nudity, and it becomes "OMG... I don't want porm. Bunch of perverts" or "I'll search the internet if I want to see that kind of thing." Get over it people. If I'm a pervert because I think it should contain some nudity, then you are a future (or possibly present) serial killing weirdo because you have no problem with the blood guts and entrails (and some people even want a lot more of that).

The "pervert" or "i don't want porm" line of reasoning is absolutely a HUGE joke. Give me a break. Just because they add some nudity to the game, it doesn't make it a Skinemax flick or something that belongs on a XXX shelf. Just watched the movie remake of "The Mechanic" starring Jason Statham. Guess what... has plenty of blood and guts and (oh the horror!) nudity. And it's rated R... (the gaming equivilent of M). It's not a pormo people because it shows some nudity. And my wife enjoyed the movie as well. NUDITY DOES NOT EQUAL porm PEOPLE.

Another set of examples. Look at some games like Heavy Rain and the God of War series. Both are rated M (that's for Mature again people). Both are incredibly succesful in the sales department as well as HIGHLY reviewed and rated by critics and fans alike. They've won awards. And they contain... wait for it... here it comes... cover your eyes... nudity!!! And they are NOT considered pormographic by any stretch of the imagination. Wow... imagine that. I haven't played TW2, but I've heard a LOT of great things about it. And it too contains the "dreaded" nudity. There is nothing wrong with the nudity!

I just can't understand it. Blood and guts is ok. Let me watch the blood geyser out after I behead someone. But God forbid a nipble pop out! If I buy a mature game, that should mean I'm mature enough not only to handle the blood, but also nudity. They're advlts... we're advlts. Nudity is more natural then shoving a sword handle-deep into somone's chest cavity. It's ok to have love scenes and even include a little nudity. Period. For the last time... NUDITY DOES NOT EQUAL porm!

Worst case scenario... I say include nudity in the game. When the game ships, have the nudity turned OFF in the settings. So anyone that can't handle M-rated nudity in the game, can do without. Anyone that wants the nudity can go into the settings and turn it on. Everyone wins.

I do agree 100% with you but we are talking about a game made in America. Remember when Janet jackson showed one of her nipbles on super bowl? The whole country were in a national crisis, millions of children were traumatized for life. Who or what is your rant directed at? Because as far as I can see, the devs made the game they wanted to make, they weren't forced to cut anything for the sake of a favourable rating and there's been no public outcry.

The GTA series is made in America. God of War is made in America and is brimming with nudity and has six mini-games.

Good points about the all-too-common disparity between the acceptability of violence over nudity in content geared to advlts. I remember the nudity early in the series. It was in the character menu (back when you could see your character modeled in the stats screen) and if you unequipped all of the gear and clothes, the character was topless.

I don't care either way. The fervor at which nvde mods are released for these games is........ummm.... interesting, but hey, different strokes for different folks (no pun intended).

Actually most of crap GTA gets is for the drug dealing and cop killing not the prosttutes, hence the "murder simulator" accusations. And God of War is too far off the media's radar to get much notice.
