A waste of time

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 12:49 pm

Thanks for wasting my time with this [censored] incomplete game. Thanks to all the glitches I can't even complete the damn thing 100% and get all the achievements. I seriously doubt I'll ever buy another Bethesda game. I had such high hopes for Skyrim just to be let down by an incomplete version of a game.

That one hit me, right in the heart. Oh wait that was just my knee.

In all seriousness I feel sorry for you bro, but not everybody experiences glitches as bad as you do. I have played the game for nearly 300 hours so far and I have only had 1 glitch: an npc fell through the floor randomly and I had to reload a previous save.

I ask that you give the game another chance and, not be so concerned about the acheivements. What do acheivements get you anyway? The fact that skyrim is an amazing adventure that I can become lost in for hours at a time cannot be distilled down to a few numbers on the screen. Heck, I haven't even opened up my acheivements list on the xbox because I could care less.

edit: If it makes you feel better you can erase skyrims acheivement data from your xbox and nobody will ever know you didn't 100% a game.

Yeah I've never understood the need to get the achievements either,I could care less about them myself.

Skyrim is not without its problems. I can name dozens of things I'd like tweaked or changed that would make me enjoy the game more. But at the end of the day, after logging hundreds of hours over almost five months, I would still buy this game. It's that entertaining to me.

Hey, I play for achievements alot too, but I aslo play to enjoy the game. For me achievements add a little more challenge to the game. But let me be one of the ones to tell you, dont play for achievements in this game, play for the experience and fun that this game will give you. Also, dont get all mad over some glitches. You act like every skyrim game player has a game filled with bugs, when that is completely not true. In the hours Ive played this game, and let me tell you Ive played alot of hours, I have only experienced one bug, and that bug hasn't ruined my experience at all, I just reloaded a previous save and moved on. Not everyone has a bug filled game play. Just give it another try, and see if the same thing happens.

Achievements?

*points and laughs*

Are you the sort of player that calls TES DLCs 'map packs' by any chance?

A new patch just came out anyways, you should download it and see if it fixes the bugs you are experiencing. Bethesda is doing their best you know.

I know I'll prob get flamed for this, but guys, some people just play the game differently. Some people are achievements hunters, others arent; but what right does that give you guys to knock on someone just cause they play the game differently? Granted, I dont always hunt for achievements, so I dont always like doing it, but Im not going to knock on someone because they play differently....

To be fair the game is supposed to contain 1000 gamerpoints worth of achievements so if some of those glitched on him how is complaining about it any less petty than the huge list of criticisms, many of which are purely aesthetic and subjective, that others have come here long before to complain about?

If you judge a game, or anything for that matter only on the faults you find there is nothing that exists that will not be able to stand up to your scrutiny.

Maybe achievements were the only thing that brought you to "Skyrim" in the first place but as someone has mentioned above already you may find a greater enjoyment if you start to realise all the additional bonuses the game actually has to offer.
