[WIP] Wasteland Succubus

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:39 pm

Lately I've been playing characters with no weapon skills. First I played a Mad Scientist mastering science and medicine and scavenging the wastes for materials to build an army of robots (Buildable Bots for the win!). Then I played a Charisma based character using Shiloh DS's Desert Succubus mod and found myself wanting to embrace my succubi nature with no way to do so I thought Id make a way. Introducing...

Wasteland Succubus
Trait for charisma based characters.
  • Health and Limbs cannot be healed by any kind of Stim Packs, Doctor's Bags, or food.
  • Food does not satiate hunger in hardcoe mode.
  • You have to feed on people's energy to satiate health and restore limbs.
  • You feed on someone by speaking to them and convincing them to let you kiss them.
  • A player can only feed on someone who is the opposite six unless they have Confirmed Bachelor if they are Male or Cherchez La Femme if female.

((Perception + intelligence)5)+(Times charmed today*50) is their resistance to being charmed so a person with 10 int and 10 perception will have 100 charm resistance.

(Speech/2) + (Charisma*5) + Luck is the succubus's charm score so a succubus with 100 Speech 10 Charisma and 10 Luck will have a charm score of 110 allowing your max stats to charm someone with max Per and Int.

Once this check is made you are given dialog options for how much of their energy you will drain. The names as with everything else are subject to change.
  • [Just a taste] will restore 10% of your health, remove 30 hunger, and drain 10% of their fatigue.
  • [I'm hungry] Will restore 50% of your health, remove 100 hunger, and drain 100% of their fatigue. This option has a chance to kill the person you feed on equal (90% - 3%/player level)-(luck*2)% If the person you feed on dies it is considered a hostile action and you will lose Karma.
  • [I'm famished!] Will restore 100% of your health, remove 200 hunger, drain 100% of their fatigue and, damages their health 50% causing the victim to be hostile after getting up from their nap.

Perks: I haven't decided levels yet for these yet and there may be more. :D

Siren Song
Requires: Wasteland Succubus
Cost: 10% of your AP per point of Charisma not to exceed 100%
Sound - Lovely, melodic, calming song.
Effect: Stops combat, makes allies of all that hear it, and sets their int and per to 0 for 1 second per the Succubus's charisma score. Going to use a non hostile grenade that detonates near your head when you equip an item in your inventory called [Siren Song] that unequips itself. Only effects humanoids and during this time you can initiate dialogue and drain them.

Banshee Wail
Requires: Wasteland Succubus
Cost: 10% of your AP per point of Charisma not to exceed 100%
Sound - Between Owl's Screech and woman's moan.
Effect: Small health(2*Cha) and head damage(1/3) to all that hear and fear effect that lasts 1 second per player's charisma. Going to use a non hostile grenade that detonates near your head when you equip an item in your inventory called [Banshee Wail] that unequips itself.Only effects humanoids.

Draining Touch
Requires: 50 unarmed, Wasteland Succubus
Your unarmed attacks to [?] extra Fatigue Damage and restore 1% health per punch.

Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or ideas. I am kinda new to modding so my skills are limited but I have seen similar things to those listed above in other mods so I will learn from them. :)
PS: I also svck at math so let me know if my formula's above don't make sense, lol.

The incubus is the male equivalent. It would be a nice touch if you made two separate perks that depend on gender.

This is what I am shooting for currently. :) I have made dialogue choices so far that take gender into account as well as using the gender killer perks. Incubi will be supported as well as succubi but I am having issues finding adequate open source sounds for the vocal perks. I was thinking of changing the perk names for males as well so instead of Siren's Song and Banshee Wail a male character would get Melody of Orpheus and Dirge of Orpheus instead.

I like the idea, have you considered trying to make it so the ai could use some of the features as well? Imagine running across a raider that stops all combat and feeds on you. It'd make for some interesting fights.

Interesting in this case being defined as 'oh god oh god were all going to die'.

Hah, I love it! That is brilliant! I will see if I can work that in after I get passed my http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1147200-a-little-scripting-help-please/. I could make it so much more visceral if used on the player as well. Imagine hearing that soothing song and being frozen in your own body with no way to stop what you are seeing is terrifying! :D I could create succubus npcs that feed on people in Gomorrah and some of the other casinos and make them hostile to other succubi due to turf wars. This mod is partially based on the Canadian show Lost Girl about a succubus named Bo. I could also add raider succubi to leveled lists and maybe to the power gangers. I think the idea of a succubus charming a group of the all male powder gangers to do her bidding is pretty cool. Cant forget about the Incubi either. I think I will probably get the trait and perk list finished first and make a separate mod or incorporate it into the installer/fomod or make it a separate esp for changes to the wastes just to keep freedom of choice alive.

I don't think it would be right to run into them randomly. I'd rather see you hand place them logically. A succubus/incubus should naturally lead groups, not be some random gang member. If you could incorporate some quests around them that'd be ideal.

Ha, and I think the exact opposite of you. Guess one can never please everyone!

While I see, where your coming from, I am thinking about getting jumped when you least expect it. If they are hand placed, you would lose that surprise factor. That being said, if they are added randomly to npc raider spawn table, they'd have to be very rare.

On a somewhat evil note, I'd look forward to hunting them down an enslaving them. Once Sesom's slavery mod is released that is :P

I like both of your ideas, I am working on a structured questline at the moment that deals with a succubi faction that is pretty much writing itself at the moment and I am working on adding succubi as random encounters in the wasteland. I think of it as random succubi move in and turn random groups into their followers. Kinda like how the viper gangs have leaders, and the fiends have motor-runner, cook-cook, and the like. I'll just add a small chance that the viper leader is replaced by a succubi and give a chance for raider group spawns and powder ganger spawns to contain them as leader.
