Way to selectively clean up decals from spell Impact events?

Hi all. For some work in Frostfall, I need to be able to selectively delete a decal that was applied to a surface based on a spell impact event. Is such a thing possible, or will I just have to wait for the decal to clean itself up naturally over time as more decals are created?

I tried to do this (find some way to grab the ref of the blood splats) and got a little help from 2 other moders way better than I am including a SKSE team member and I never found a way to do this. If you find a way to do this I will be thrilled, please let me know if you do!

Was afraid of that. And if anyone would know, it would be you. Thanks for the input. I may rethink how I do this then.

The intended use case is a decal that represents a placeable http://i.imgur.com/ar269.jpg. But after the candles and skull portions of the circle are picked up, the decal remains, and I guess it will stay there until enough decals occur in the game for it to eventually clean itself up. Oh well.
