So yeah ! Any way to do it? I can turn off the floating markers no problem and I just have to make no quests active to get rid of the magic compass, is there any way to get rid of the other markers though? I don't want to know if I'm getting closer to a dungeon or a city, I want to stumble on it ! Makes the game more exciting imo.

I doubt there's already a mod for it, but maybe a file I can delete/modify to turn them off?

Sorry Vyniea, it took me a moment to look up the info.

Check out the thread I've linked to below, there are changes you can make to the .ini file to turn off the compass. I don't think there's a fix more sophisticated than that at the moment, but if you want to keep the compass bar but stop the points of interest showing up on it (or make it so they don't show up until you're quite close) this is the thread to ask about it on.

i saw an option in one of the ini's , can't remember which one . either the Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini in documents / my games / Skyrim. it may have been after i used the in game console SAVEINI command to expand the Skyrim.ini to , i would guess several hundred lines or so.

I tried disabling the markers with the ini and huh.. it didn't work?

Maybe it's new game only or something ?
