Ways Mathematics Apply to IT

Hey everyone! \o/

I'm writing a paper on how mathematics apply to my field of study. Though networking is my specific career path, I'm doing it on IT to broaden it up a bit. If this was two pages, it'd be easy and I'd probably go over it a little bit. However, it's a five page paper and I don't believe I have enough examples that I can explain of using math.

If anyone has any insight, in what ways does mathematics apply to IT?

There's always mathematics, if you know where to look. One of the forum gurus like Defron, Sheridan, or CCNA might be able to help ya out. You could potentially delv into the mathematical principles of network speed, I guess. Not sure if there's a formula in there that you could tweeze out into 5 pages of written material.
